The actual time periods will differ because you will need to look at three years immediately preceding the date of EOI selection. It is not possible to accurately project because EOI selection is done randomly.
Parent Category Sponsor Business Income Calculator
Use this calculator to work out apportionments when sponsors are using business-generated income to meet income threshold.
As an example, if the date of ITA was 8 August 2023, the applicable time periods are:
- Year 1: 08/08/2022 - 07/08/2023
- Year 2: 08/08/2021 - 07/08/2022
- Year 3: 08/08/2020 - 07/08/2021
INZ will only look at income filed at the end of a financial year. Therefore, in this case:
- FY ending 2024: 01/04/2023 - 31/03/2024
- FY ending 2023: 01/04/2022 - 31/03/2023
- FY ending 2022: 01/04/2021 - 31/03/2022
- FY ending 2021: 01/04/2020 - 31/03/2021
As the dates don't line up, we need to calculate apportionments.
