ABC is an alpine lakeside retreat nestled in one of the world's most serenely beautiful landscapes. Spectacularly situated on Lake Wakatipu and only seven minutes from Queenstown. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our team.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager you will have an effective presence on the floor, ensuring that restaurant services are seamlessly delivered and to train our team to meet our world-class fine dining standards.

About the role:

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all restaurant operations are run efficiently. Key responsibilities will be:

- Assist in managing the daily operations and help deliver the best guest experience
- Lead and mentor the Restaurant team alongside the Restaurant Manager and help shape a collaborative culture
- Implement and maintain operational standards, ensuring efficient delivery of the highest standards of service
- Assist in the management of the team when required, including rosters, daily briefings, and onboarding
- Liaise with other departments in the hotel on a daily basis to ensure smooth operations

The successful candidate will have:

- A background in fine dining and wine service is essential
- Previous senior level Food and Beverage experience in boutique lodges or 5-star properties
- Strong beverage and wine knowledge
- Ability to train a team of mixed skill levels
- Impeccable personal grooming
- Knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Reliable, honest, engaged with excellent attention to detail

The right applicant must be self-motivated, a team player, and able to work well in a high-pressure environment.

Due to our beautiful remote location, you will need to have a reliable transport option and a valid working visa or work rights to apply. We are an accredited employer with Immigration New Zealand.
