Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity. Do you want to make a difference for patients and whanau accessing Outpatient appointments at Te Toka Tumai? If so – we have an exciting opportunity for you! The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing their proven leadership and management skills supporting our Patient Administration functions ensuring we deliver exceptional patient support.

We are looking for an experienced people leader to work with and inspire a sizable team of Outpatient Schedulers and Surgical bookers, so you’ll always be busy. You’ll have some great peers to work with and will also support our Operations Manager. We are a large team of 200+ staff that provide administration support to the clinical directorates through referral management, outpatient and theatre bookings and reception duties across Te Toka Tumai.

You will be responsible for leading Supervisors and their teams to deliver the highest quality service to patients and whanau attending Te Toka Tumai through Outpatient and inpatient appointments. You will need to develop relationships with different stakeholders within the organisation to ensure excellent service is delivered for patients, staff are well-supported and national waiting time standards are adhered to.

Previous health sector, scheduling and booking experience would be considered an advantage.
