ABC is excited to be opening a new D6 (psychogeriatric) dementia care facility in Napier in April 2024.
An exceptional vacancy has therefore arisen with one of NZ's leading aged care providers, ABC. This is a key role within a forward-moving and dynamic organisation for a Clinical Manager or senior Registered Nurse looking for the next significant step in their career.
We are seeking a very special person to lead an exceptional team in our newly opening small, homely 30-bed facility. If you are serious about a career in aged care, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The successful person will work closely with the Operations Coordinator and our experienced and committed team to provide a loving, homely environment for our residents and strong, positive leadership to our staff family.
The Clinical Manager will:
Ensure effective and safe care is provided within your facility
Assist to educate staff so that they too provide effective and safe care
Work to ensure that all staff work in accordance with the vision, values and philosophies of these facilities
Ensure that all services provided to residents are of a high standard
Provide on call coverage as necessary
Ensure safe staffing coverage
Participate in registered nurse meetings, in-service education and staff development activities
Participate in ongoing clinical supervision
Ensure staff perform their duties in accordance with the policies and procedures
Comply with RN Professional Code of Practice
Meet key tasks, performance indicators and performance measures
Requirements for consideration:
A current NZRN Annual Practicing Certificate
At least 3 years practical nursing experience at a senior level in New Zealand or previous Clinical Management experience
