Are you a Physiotherapist with an interest in brain injury or community rehabilitation and wishing to develop your clinical skillset?
ABC (Tawa) is looking for someone like you. We can offer development into sub-specialties in traumatic brain injury, concussion management, and/or pediatrics.
We are a leader in the field of brain injury rehabilitation in NZ and an accredited provider of community-based rehabilitation for a range of ages with conditions including brain injury, stroke, and concussion.
Key clinical roles include community-based rehabilitation of clients to facilitate return to pre-injury activities, provide assessment for the impact of TBI/Concussion and training to whānau/family. We have a strong client and whānau/family focus and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi through the implementation of Te Hekenga-ā-ora (ABI’s Māori Development Plan 2022-2025), to ensure equitable outcomes.
Our clinicians see clients across the wider Wellington region in their homes, and other relevant settings.

ABC offers competitive remuneration, including pay parity with public healthcare rates of pay.
We would love to have expressions of interest from senior experienced physiotherapists with mentoring and education skillsets, with an interest in quality improvement and service development.
Alongside your depth of physiotherapist experience, you need to have/be:
- A minimum of 2-years postgraduate clinical experience
- NZ registered Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate and driver’s license
- Experience in neurology, and/or experience in any of the following: musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopedics, pediatrics, and community rehabilitation is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with clients, their whānau and the interdisciplinary team to deliver client-centered rehabilitation
