The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is part of the wider ABC. Our Putney Way, Manukau, Auckland branch is seeking a part-time empathetic, experienced Counsellor to really make their mark in face-to-face support for our valued clients. This is a generalist role that requires the ideal candidate to have experience in grief intervention, couples counselling, addiction, child and adolescent issues to name a few.
We will provide the tools you need to succeed for successful client support whilst driving initiatives to grow your skills.
Main responsibilities:
- Deliver focused interventions so that clients ace coping mechanisms at work and life
- Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption
- Deliver counselling services via in-person, video and telehealth
- Deliver training to customer employees

The ideal candidate:
- A strong sense of others – we’re looking for sensitivity and empathy as traits
- Tertiary level Counselling or related qualification (Level 7 min)
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models e.g. SFT, CBT, FACT
- Current registration and APC with NZAC, NZCCA, DAPAANZ, SWRB
- Experience in trauma intervention, psychological first-aid

As an accredited employer we will provide assistance in the AEWV process Support in gaining registration with the NZ Association of Counsellors Assistance in helping you settle into New Zealand Contribution towards relocation costs
