Our Palmerston North branch is seeking an empathetic, experienced Counsellor for a fulfilling opportunity, giving you with the tools you need to support people the way they deserve to be taken care of – the ABC Health way.
Main responsibilities:
- Deliver focused interventions so that clients ace coping mechanisms at work and life
- Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption
- Deliver counselling services via in-person, video and telehealth
- Deliver training to customer employees

The ideal candidate:
- A strong sense of others – we’re looking for sensitivity and empathy as traits
- Tertiary level Counselling or related qualification
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models e.g. SFT, CBT, FACT
- Current APC with NZAC, NZCCA, DAPAANZ, or SWRB
- Experience in trauma intervention, psychological first-aid
For Counsellors based overseas
- As an accredited employer we will provide assistance in the AEWV process
- Assistance in helping you settle into New Zealand
- Contribution towards relocation costs
