We are looking for a technician at beginner to intermediate level to join our team in Onehunga, Auckland. This full-time, fixed-term (6 months) role is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop or kick-start their career, as on-the-job training is provided.

In this role, you will be expected to perform field testing to a high level of accuracy. The work will be hands-on and physical, and therefore requires a reasonable degree of physical capability and, at times, may involve working in adverse environmental conditions. The nature of the work may require early starts, late finishes and occasional overtime.

About you:

We are seeking an individual that brings their personality to the role, prides themselves on providing flawless customer service, and has meticulous attention to detail.

You will also have:

- BSc or other relevant tertiary degree
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
- A good level of physical fitness and ability to lift items weighing 25kg+ on a regular basis.
- Knowledge of soil sampling and contaminated land would be beneficial but not essential, training will be supplied
- Knowledge of soil logging to NZGS and use of a hand auger would be beneficial but not essential, training will be supplied
- Able to prioritize workload and convey to others when there may urgency required to fulfil customer expectation;
- Practical, with good tool skills and a "Kiwi No 8 wire" mentality;
- Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A full driver's license.
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to change.
