JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a Gantry Crane Operator/Yardman to work in our precast concrete yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including demolding units, performing concrete remedial work, and loading trucks with finished products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate gantry crane to demold precast concrete units safely and efficiently. Perform concrete remedial work as needed, including patching, smoothing, and finishing. Load trucks with finished products using the gantry crane, ensuring proper distribution and secure fastening. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with other yard duties and general maintenance tasks as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience operating a gantry crane in an industrial or construction setting. Valid crane operator certification or willingness to obtain one. Knowledge of concrete handling and remedial work techniques is preferred. Ability to interpret and follow instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects as required.
