Health Care Assistants

ABC House is a privately owned caring Rest Home and Hospital located in Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand.  We pride ourselves in delivering excellent quality of care in our comfortable and cozy home for our residents. We are also an accredited employer with Immigration New Zealand.

We currently have openings for full time (no less than 31 hours) permanent Health Care Assistants to join our team in providing our wonderful residents with exceptional care in both our Rest Home and Hospital wings. Ongoing training will be provided throughout the year including Careerforce NZ Training should you wish to work through the levels.

This opportunity is open to all levels of applicants from beginners through to level 4. You will be working rotating rostered shifts morning, afternoon & nights including weekends. You will be paid a Weekend allowance or Nocte allowance on top of your hourly rate when working those shifts.

The successful applicants will need to demonstrate that they are honest, friendly, have empathy to our residents and their families/whanau, excellent communication skills - both written and verbal; and be a team player. Punctuality is essential.
