HVAC Technician

• DX and CHW Process coolers

HVAC Technicians:

This full-time role (40 hrs) will involve (and is not limited to) the routine servicing and break-fix repair of commercial air conditioning.

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills and attributes:

• A high degree of self-motivation including the ability to work unsupervised.

• An ability to communicate professionally with our customers and to build and maintain excellent customer relationships.

• A high standard of workmanship and personal appearance

• Availability to be included on the callout roster.

• National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning / National Trade Test Certificate Class III Assistant Tradesperson.

Routine tasks associated with this role include but are not limited too:

• Ability to understand construction drawings, data sheets, and specifications.

• Carrying our scheduled maintenance of air-conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.

• Diagnosing faults and repair of air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration system components (fan motors, filters, compressors, refrigerant leaks, etc).

• Installation, startup, and commissioning of newly installed air conditioning ventilation and refrigeration systems.

• Use of various hand tools required to secure, measure, drilling holes, cutting threaded rod, bolting, riveting.

• Installation of ACR copper tube by welding.

• Pressure testing systems with nitrogen and checking for leaks.

• Evacuating systems with vacuum pumps.

• Limited electrical isolation, disconnection, and reconnection.

• Adjustment of temperature controls - BMS and local controls.

Remuneration & top hourly rates based on experience on central plant. ($30 - $47.00ph + tool allowance)

The role includes a fleet vehicle, tool allowance, company uniform, and a mobile phone.
