We are looking for a technician to join our team in Hamilton. This vacancy is for a full-time permanent position and is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop existing skills and elevate their career in a science and technology field. We're interested in meeting candidates with varied backgrounds, and we'll be looking to tailor the role to suit the level of experience of the candidate.
In a role with ABC you will be expected to work to a high level of diligence, providing high-quality fieldwork that facilitates high quality data for our customers.
Duties include Telemetry equipment and sensor assembly, configuration, and deployment in the field, monitoring of field instruments, processing of data and reporting, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of problems with electronic equipment, instrument data integration with our software, and supporting existing projects and customers through periodic field maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure continuity of high-quality service.
What You'll Bring: A full New Zealand driver's license is required, basic electronics skills and knowledge, practical experience using various power and hand tools, good communication skills, desire for ongoing learning and ability to develop new skills independently, and competency on a computer with a focus on practical fieldwork.
You will be part of a team but will be required to work independently under the direction of the Team Leader.
