The Role:
In this role you will lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Cardrona Maintenance department. While technical skill is an important element to the success of this role, being a strong leader who will encompass strategic planning and execution, team management and oversight of all maintenance activities will stand out. By providing robust leadership to the maintenance team and promoting our values and safety culture, you will ensure a memorable experience for our guests, whilst upholding health and safety at all times.
Your Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and refining maintenance processes and procedures related to lifts and other assets.
- Leading the development and implementation of maintenance management plans
- Recruiting, supervising, and managing the maintenance team
- Collaborating with various departments to allocate resources and skills effectively, fostering teamwork.
- Developing and executing a comprehensive maintenance program for lifts, buildings, and generators to uphold standards.
- Coordinating with external contractors for repair and maintenance activities
- Managing maintenance budgets and expenditures efficiently to improve resource utilisation.
- Overseeing health and safety protocols, compliance, and risk management
- Participating in management meetings and providing regular reports on budget and operational performance for informed decision-making.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Proven leadership skills and effective people management experience.
- Maintenance qualification and management experience.
- Experience in maintenance, vehicle, facility, and/or plant management
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ski Area/Ropeways Specific Qualifications (Preferred but not essential).
