The Opportunity:
As a T.S.S Steamship Engineer, you will ensure that the TSS Earnslaw is always operating efficiently, making sure that all maintenance duties are carried out as required. You will provide a high level of customer service, ensuring customer and staff safety is always maintained.

Responsibilities:
Safe and efficient operation of the plant and machinery on board the TSS Earnslaw
Contribute to the ongoing sustainability and optimisation of the TSS Earnslaw
The development and maintenance of Engineering Standing Orders, instructions, and procedures as they relate to the operation of the TSS Earnslaw and management of the Engineering Department
Assistance in the preparation and training of new stokers and engineers, ensuring company training programmes and systems have been implemented and staff improvements are monitored
Ensure staff carry out their duties efficiently and safely, assisting where required
Implementation of the vessel Safety Manual and Company Maritime Transport Operator Plan (MTOP)
Skills, experience, & qualifications:
Relevant Marine engineering qualification ( Mec 3 or Mec 5 )
Steam endorsement highly regarded but not essential
Marine engineering experience
Heavy machinery / equipment experience
Excellent people and communication skills
Prepared to work rostered shift over seven days with extra hours and duties when required
Leadership & customer service skills
Class 2 and HT Licence (preferred but not essential)
