ABOUT THE ROLE
ABC Knitwear, a family owned New Zealand company, needs to take the next step and appoint our first Operations Manager. We have experienced significant growth in recent years and we now find ourselves spread too thin. Within this new role you will report directly to the shareholders, working with them and the existing experienced team. We are looking for an exceptional individual who is keen to utilise their existing experience in a manufacturing environment and make a genuine difference to our business.
The role will involve:
Health, Safety and Environmental management
People – working alongside the existing Management team to inspire and support our people
Quality - as a world leader in luxury knitwear quality is paramount.
Efficiency – making the best possible use of our resources to deliver our quality products on time and on specification
New projects:
Product planning and tracking systems needed for efficiency
Significant building expansion project in concept phase
ABOUT YOU
You will be a positive person with strong communication skills and a high level of both EQ and IQ. Willing to learn and prepared get your hands dirty (as a wise man once said - "Deeds not Words"). This might be your first role at this level or you might be very experienced Operations Manager. You may have textile manufacturing experience or you might not. You will be talented, smart and hard working. A sense of humour is always appreciated.
Coming into the business you will contribute your expertise as you learn the current processes. This is a senior role and remuneration reflects that seniority.
This is an on-site role at our Pukekohe factory.
