About the Role:

Our Procurement Team is growing as we shift our focus towards strategic procurement, prioritising cost savings, innovation, and efficiency enhancements for ABC NZ. In this newly established role, you will play a crucial part in translating our procurement strategy into tangible benefits for the business, while continuously seeking avenues for further improvement.

Primarily a procurement sourcing role, this position navigates market events of varying complexities. We seek an individual with a knack for innovative thinking, capable of generating swift results in what is conventionally regarded as a process-heavy domain. You will drive sourcing activities, market tests, and have a strong customer-centric ethos.

Where You'll Make an Impact:

Execute end-to-end procurement processes, encompassing data gathering, evaluation facilitation, and contracting across all organisational functions.
Develop RFx documentation and oversee RFx evaluations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ascertain their procurement needs and identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, adhering to our Procurement Strategy and supplier standards.
Prioritise quality, availability, sustainability, and price considerations in contractual agreements.
Assist the Procurement Manager and Senior Procurement Specialist as necessary.
Promote a culture of transparency and accountability in procurement practices, serving as a role model.

What About You:

Minimum 3 years sourcing experience, preferably in healthcare or public sector.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and understand the business needs.
Great organisational skills, motivated, and able to prioritise.
Ability to listen and communicate well, showing empathy and understanding.
Manage and prioritise multiple sourcing activities simultaneously.
Be flexible and adaptable, with ability to pivot when needed.
Connection to our core customer-centric ABC values where ethics and integrity are necessary.
MS Office Suite – particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
