This is a senior role responsible for overall business performance and people leadership of ABC’s Reservoir Services team. Overseeing operations for Geothermal Reservoir Engineering field services, Reservoir Chemistry and Wireline Tool Development, it offers variety, challenge and opportunity to make your mark by strengthening our market presence.

You:

Your engineering qualifications (mechanical or process) and/or proven strong operations management, ideally in geothermal reservoir and wireline, will stand you in good stead to lead our high performing teams to further excel in a competitive market.

Bringing strong commercial acumen and financial management you’ll have led operational business units, developed and executed business plans and made a positive impact on revenue growth and profitability.

Confidence with MS Office and ERP software for financial tracking, reporting and analysis
Practical experience developing and maintaining a safety culture within a structured HSE framework
Expertise in resource planning, work scheduling to optimize utilization and productivity
Excellence in client contract management and performance monitoring

The Role:

Primarily developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive commercial outcomes, you’ll be monitoring and optimising operational efficiency, cost management and quality assurance.

In addition, you’ll be identifying and capitalising on business opportunities and working closely with the sales team to prepare competitive tenders and project pricing. You’ll champion business development by nurturing collaborative, long-lasting customer relationships and contribute to the development of new markets and customers by promoting ABC’s geothermal operations in NZ and supporting international growth opportunities.

Whilst this is a leadership role, to stay in touch with your teams, our clients and our work you will be required to periodically travel to customer sites, both nationally and internationally including outdoor field work with exposure to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts and site hazards.

If you are looking for a move to New Zealand, then you’ll be pleased to know that we are an Accredited Employer, and we welcome applicants from overseas. This role will be based in our Taupo headquarters where our people work 40-hour weeks, starting at 7.30am and finishing at 4pm, Monday to Friday. The salary range for this role is NZD$140-160,000 plus vehicle.
